Create a yoga or Pilates website with Wix

Wix can generate the first draft of a yoga or Pilates website in about ten minutes. A professional website takes longer.

You still need to replace generic text and stock images, explain your classes, publish prices and policies, connect bookings, test the mobile experience and make sure people can find and contact you.

I have rewritten this walkthrough because Wix ADI is no longer the current path for new sites. Wix retired ADI and now offers a conversational AI Website Builder, including the newer Wix Harmony experience, alongside templates and drag-and-drop editing.

The exact labels may differ depending on whether your account opens Wix Editor or Wix Harmony Editor. Follow the workflow rather than relying on one button staying in the same corner forever.

What changed in Wix?

Wix ADI was the company's first-generation automated design tool. Wix says it was retired for new sites in November 2024. The current Wix AI Website Builder uses a conversational brief to generate pages, layouts and starter content that you can continue editing.

You can also begin from one of Wix's more than 2,000 business-ready templates. Both paths lead to an editable website. AI is faster for a first draft. A template gives you more control over the starting structure.

1. Prepare the content before opening Wix

This is the step most tutorials skip. A website builder can arrange sections, but it does not know your teaching experience, cancellation terms or what makes your studio different.

Collect these items first:

  • business name, logo, colours and preferred fonts
  • original photos of the teacher, studio and classes
  • a short description of who the classes are for
  • teacher biographies and qualifications
  • class names, levels, durations and equipment
  • timetable, prices, passes and introductory offer
  • cancellation, refund and privacy information
  • address, service area, email, phone and social links
  • the main action you want visitors to take

Your first website does not need twenty pages. It needs accurate information and a booking path that works.

2. Start with Wix AI or choose a template

Create or sign in to a Wix account and start a new site. Choose one of the current paths:

  • Start with a description: use the AI Website Builder to explain the business and generate a draft.
  • Start with a template: choose a layout that already has the structure and visual style you need.

I would use AI when speed matters and you are comfortable rewriting the result. I would use a template when you already know the layout you want.

Do not choose only because the demo image shows a yoga pose. Look at navigation, page structure, mobile behaviour and how easily a visitor can find the timetable.

3. Describe the yoga or Pilates business clearly

A vague prompt creates a vague website. Give the AI a practical brief. For example:

Create a welcoming website for a small yoga and Pilates studio in Newcastle, NSW. We offer beginner yoga, Vinyasa, Yin and mat Pilates for adults. The main goal is to help local clients view the weekly timetable and book a class. Use warm natural colours and clear, accessible language. Include Home, Timetable, Classes, Pricing, About and Contact pages.

Include the location, audience, class types, brand style and main call to action. If you offer livestream or on-demand classes, say that now so the generated structure includes them.

Review every AI statement. Remove invented teacher experience, testimonials, addresses and health claims. AI-generated starter content is not evidence.

4. Select the required pages and features

Most yoga and Pilates businesses need:

  • Home: who you help, what you offer and a clear Book Now button
  • Timetable or Book: the live class schedule and booking path
  • Classes: descriptions, difficulty, duration and equipment
  • Pricing: casual classes, passes, memberships and intro offers
  • About: teacher bios, experience and approach
  • Contact: address or service area, map, email and phone

Add workshops, retreats, FAQs, on-demand videos or a blog only when you have content to maintain. Empty pages do not make a business look larger.

Use my guide to building a yoga studio timetable before publishing class times, lengths and levels.

5. Customise the generated site in Wix Editor

Once Wix creates the draft, open it in the available editor and replace the generated content.

Use original writing

Write as you speak to a new student. Explain whether beginners are welcome, what happens in class, what to bring and how early to arrive. Avoid generic claims such as transforming every life or curing medical conditions.

Use real images

Visitors want to see the teacher and the room they will enter. Good phone photos with natural light are more trustworthy than unrelated stock images. Compress large files so the site does not become slow.

Keep navigation simple

Use familiar labels such as Classes, Timetable, Pricing, About and Contact. Put a visible Book Now button in the header and near important class descriptions.

Keep the design consistent

Use one or two fonts, a small colour palette and repeat the same button style. A calm design is not the same as faint text. Check contrast and make body text easy to read.

6. Add CoreBookings to the Wix website

With CoreBookings by KRIYA, you can embed your class schedule directly into a Wix website or add a Book Now button linking to your studio's hosted booking page.

An embedded schedule lets visitors see current classes without leaving the page. A direct booking link is simpler and can be added to buttons, class descriptions, the header and mobile menu.

CoreBookings can manage class capacity, passes, memberships, workshops, waitlists, attendance, automated confirmations and the client mobile app. The website explains the business. CoreBookings manages the booking journey.

Compare CoreBookings features, Australian pricing or request help with the booking setup.

7. Check the mobile site and basic SEO

Wix automatically adapts a desktop design for smaller screens, but you should still open mobile view and inspect every page. Wix's current mobile editing guidance explains how to preview and adjust the responsive version.

Test these items on a real phone:

  • the menu opens and every link works
  • the timetable can be read and scrolled
  • Book Now buttons are visible and easy to tap
  • forms can be completed without zooming
  • the phone number, email and map work
  • images do not crop important details
  • the booking and payment flow returns a confirmation

Write SEO titles and descriptions

Give every important page a unique title and description. Include the service and location naturally, such as Beginner Yoga Classes in Newcastle. Do not copy the same title onto every page.

Add image alt text

Describe useful image content for people using screen readers. Do not stuff a list of keywords into every image.

Add privacy and contact information

Explain how enquiries, newsletter signups and booking data are handled. Link to a suitable privacy policy and make the business identity easy to verify.

For more marketing context, read my guides to email newsletters for yoga businesses and increasing class attendance.

8. Connect the domain and publish

Wix provides free hosting and a Wix-branded address, such as a wixsite.com URL. A paid plan is required to connect your own domain, remove Wix branding and access certain business features.

Some eligible annual plans may include the first year of a new domain. That is a promotional voucher, not a permanently free custom domain. Domain renewals and conditions apply.

Wix says plan prices vary by location. Check the current Wix plans in Australia rather than relying on an old US-dollar price.

Business email is generally a separate service. Wix offers connections to Google Workspace, but website hosting and a professional mailbox should be treated as separate products and costs.

Before publishing:

  1. Preview the desktop and mobile versions.
  2. Check spelling, prices, dates and policies.
  3. Submit every contact and newsletter form.
  4. Complete a real booking and low-value test payment where appropriate.
  5. Connect the custom domain and verify the secure address loads.
  6. Publish, then repeat the checks on the live site.

What can you realistically complete in ten minutes?

In ten minutes, you may be able to create an account, describe the business and generate a first draft. That is useful. It is not a finished professional website.

Allow time for:

  • original text and images
  • class descriptions, pricing and cancellation details
  • timetable and booking integration
  • mobile testing
  • SEO titles and descriptions
  • privacy and contact information
  • domain setup and live-site checks

A quick draft is better than a blank page. A tested, accurate site is better than a quick draft.

Frequently asked questions

Can I create a Wix yoga website in 10 minutes?

What replaced Wix ADI?

Wix retired ADI for new sites and now promotes its conversational AI Website Builder, including the newer Wix Harmony experience. You can describe the site you want, choose a recommended template and continue customising it in the editor.

Is Wix free for a yoga teacher website?

Wix offers free hosting and a Wix-branded website address. A paid plan is required to connect your own domain, remove Wix branding and access certain business features.

Does Wix include a free custom domain?

A free Wix site does not include a permanent custom domain. Some eligible annual plans may include a voucher for the first year of a new domain. Renewal and eligibility conditions apply.

Can I add CoreBookings to a Wix website?

Yes. You can embed the CoreBookings class schedule in a Wix page or add a Book Now button that links to your hosted studio booking page.

What pages should a yoga or Pilates website have?

Most businesses need Home, Timetable or Book, Classes, Pricing, About and Contact pages. Add FAQs, workshops, on-demand content and policies where they help clients make a booking decision.

Wix yoga website checklist

  • Use Wix AI or a current template, not the retired ADI workflow.
  • Replace generated text, claims and images with accurate content.
  • Publish Home, Timetable, Classes, Pricing, About and Contact pages.
  • Embed CoreBookings or add direct Book Now links.
  • Test mobile navigation, forms, timetable, booking and payment.
  • Add unique SEO titles, descriptions and useful image alt text.
  • Choose a paid plan when you are ready for a custom domain and no Wix branding.
  • Test the live domain after publishing.

The website does not need to be complicated. It needs to answer a new client's questions and make the next step obvious.
