How to send an email or SMS to clients?

CoreBookings includes email newsletters, SMS campaigns, and a quick way to email everyone booked into a class. There is no single "Send message" button on each client profile for freeform one-to-one chat.

Short answer #

  • Bulk email: Marketing → Newsletters → New newsletter
  • Bulk SMS: Marketing → SMS → New campaign (requires SMS marketing add-on and credits)
  • One class: Class Schedule → open the class → Email attendees

Send a newsletter email #

Where: Marketing → Newsletters

  1. Go to Marketing → Newsletters.
  2. Click New newsletter.
  3. Write your subject and message.
  4. Choose recipients, for example All clients, Active clients (last 90 days), Inactive clients (no visits in last 90 days), or Teachers.
  5. Optionally Send Test Email, then Review & Send / Send Newsletter.

Newsletters are available on Starter and higher plans. Automated emails (expiry, win-back, and similar) live under Marketing → Automation on Scale.

Send an SMS campaign #

Where: Marketing → SMS

  1. Go to Marketing → SMS.
  2. Click New campaign.
  3. Write the message. You can Add opt-out line on new campaigns.
  4. Choose the audience (for example all eligible clients, active members, or inactive / lapsed).
  5. Send a test if needed, then Send SMS campaign.

SMS needs a Growth or Scale plan with the SMS marketing add-on and credits. Messages go to Australian mobiles (+61). Clients must have SMS consent; you can grant or revoke consent on the client profile under SMS marketing. There is no two-way SMS inbox — clients can opt out with STOP.

Email class attendees #

Where: Class Schedule → open a class → Email attendees

  1. Open Class Schedule.
  2. Open the class details.
  3. Click Email attendees.
  4. Write the message and click Send email.

What this is not for #

  • There is no per-client Send email or Send SMS compose button on the client profile for general messages.
  • From the client profile … menu you can Send password reset (login help only).
  • Booking confirmations, reminders, and receipts are controlled under Settings → Notifications and email templates — those send automatically, not as freeform campaigns.
